Barley Adventures Begin...
Firstly welcome to our blog. It's good to see you here.
We hope to be able to share with friends and family and anyone else interested what we get up to whilst in Australia and bridge the geographical distance. It goes without saying that we miss you all so much and just want to bring some Australian sunshine to you.
Some background to our move; Steve and I have always wanted to spend a short time in a different country and 2010 seemed to be a good time to fulfil this adventure. It had never happened earlier because the right opportunity never seemed to present itself and the timing was never quite there. However, having spent the early part of 2010 somewhat disillusioned with my job and career and Steve's desire to further his career with a stint abroad meant we had the motivation to seek out this move.
We found out about the move in June and since then have been making plans. At this point, we genuinely do feel it is going to be a two year adventure and when we return we expect nothing to have change and that we can pick up where we left off. Some say this won't quite be the case but we'll get through that chapter when we come to it.
