Saturday was wet and miserable and we ventured out to a farmer's market that takes place once a month at a local urban farm.

Steve had to roll up his jeans in an attractive way to avoid the mud and we enjoyed wandering round the stalls and buying goodies.

Beetroot season! Beets the size of broccolis! We bought some less scary sized beetroot to roast for dinner.

Our haul from the farmer's market meant a bit of a Saturday night feast. Steve roasted the beetroot and made a beetroot, feta and rocket salad. We also picked up some amazing pine mushrooms that he fried with some butter. Our protein was Porterhouse steak that was described to us as better than the steak at Rockpool!

The steak was pretty special and the pine mushrooms something incredible. Well done Steve.
Today has been a sunnier day and Steve continued with the cooking streak with a Bacon and Jerusalem Artichoke soup that was so delicious. And we had roast lamb dinner with cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes. My hubby is pretty nifty in the kitchen!

This week's Skype conversation with Amelia consisted of her showing us where her eyebrows, Adam's apple, boobies and armpit are as well as her wiping down her tray on the high chair after her breakfast. She also ate her mum's breakfast and fed leftover toast to Eddie. Oh the life of an 18 month year old!

We are Steve and Minda and we've been given the opportunity to move to Melbourne for two years. We arrived November 2010 and passed that two year milestone and are now Australian citizens! This is a blog of our experiences as we move to this new country, settle in and have fun!
