Spring Awakening

The last two weeks have been quite busy with this and that. Events worth noting were a couple of client events one being a lunch at Spice Temple and Spinners, B and I had a quick drink together before that. They're such fun to work with and very good at their jobs which makes things so much easier.

We also enjoyed a drinks and canape night this week at Vue de Monde which is on level 55 of the Rialto building in the CBD. Steve took me there for my birthday this year and the views are amazing.

Last Saturday, Stef and I met up and went to Charlie's parents' fish and chip shop called The Golden Horse Shoe in Mill Park which was a good 45 minute drive. It was worth the drive and so nice to see Charlie. We admire his dedication and devotion working office hours during the week and then a long Saturday shift. His burgers look mighty impressive so next time they'll be on order!
We've had some gorgeous weather this weekend and it feels like Spring is in the air. Steve and I started early on Saturday which is rare and enjoyed a great breakfast in Richmond before going to a farmer's market at a children's farm in Collingwood. The daffodils are out and the sky was beautifully clear and blue.

We enjoyed a great dinner on Saturday night with Chris and Kerry. We've never been out with them before and Kerry and Steve had never met. Chris and I know each other through work. He's one of the suppliers I've relied upon this last year and we find ourselves catching up about work but also about life and we'd talked about catching up outside of work for ages so finally we got round to it.

We started off the evening at a temporary bar which is actually the Forum Theatre. Whilst Steve and I have walked past the Forum very often, we've never actually been or seen anything there so this was a good chance to see what it was like. It's very old school Vegas with booths as well as row seating and there ares sculptures and all sorts of pillars and models of Roman style rotundas.

This dinner date had all the ticks. Great venue, great food, great company and conversation and we were comfortable enough to admit that by midnight and with full stomachs we were ready to go home!

Steve left today (Sunday) for Perth where he is working tomorrow and coming back that evening. Quick visit! He's just sent me picture of his hotel room and the hotel which is at Crown Casino and it's very swanky so I'm quite jealous!

Amelia is discovering her personality and this week's bunch of photos we have silly face, pretty face, adoring daddy face and having fun face!

I'm sure Amelia will appreciate this blog once she's older to see that she's a feature in every post. I especially like the funny face photo. She will love us for it xxxx
