This weekend has had some highlights and definitely some lowlights.
Highlights include a Barnes' double date at a French restaurant after work on Friday. A Demery double date saw us exploring the wineries on the Mornington Peninsula where this picture was taking.
Lowlights include a sore throat for me beginning on the Friday night. A combination of wine and medication saw me battle off the worst during Saturday but I probably pushed it too far as by the time we came home from our little jolly I was was forced to make friends with the porcelain bowl. This meant I had to sit out the rest of the day's activities which was dinner at a lovely restaurant with the Demerys and some other PwC colleagues; you can imagine how disappointed I was. I'd been wanting to try this place for a while and Steve went on his own whilst I was tucked up in bed.
So this takes us today where my sore throat has developed further and worst of all, it's rallied round some other flu like symptoms to have a party in my body! I really don't get why I'm so illness ridden lately. Anyway it's under control as Nurse Steve went out to buy drugs and I had a prescription from last week's virus that I didn't cash in so I also have antibiotics.
I felt better around lunchtime so we took advantage of the sunshine and went for a drive round Albert Park and through Port Melbourne finishing off at a shopping centre where we had a mooch around the shops.
