Steve is still in his shorts by the way, maybe not every day and not in the morning or at night but there's still scope for the legs to breathe!
It's been a long week at work so this weekend was all about relaxing and nice things. My dear manager Jacqui left on Friday for a different job and I will miss her heaps. She had a huge role to play in my job enjoyment levels.
So how did we relax this weekend. Friday night was spent with Claire and Martyn and the Station Hotel where we enjoyed steaks and Heathcote shiraz. Great combination and way to spend a cold evening.
It's a small market but full of unique artwork, trinkets, cards and jewellery. Definitely worth a repeat visit preferably when it isn't so wet.
We enjoyed walking round funky Fitzroy in spite of the rain. Naturally we stopped for coffee adopting that Melbourne tradition and found ourselves lunching together at the Builders Arms Hotel.
Boys about to enjoy lunch with beer and wine.
Post lunch time we took a seat at the Gertrude Hotel and continued with the beer and wine. The wintry weather and the pub reminded us of the British winter lifestyle and it felt familiar and comforting,
Steve and I then enjoyed lunch at Claypots trying out a few new dishes. The pianist was there and tinkling the ivories. All very upbeat and cheery.
We've spent the rest of the day at home. I've made a Mexican Tortilla Soup for dinner (recipe thanks to my friend Stephanie in Utah) and it was yummy. There's a lot of it though so that's dinner for the rest of the week sorted!
