Anyway the queue moved quickly and we sat down to start on our large iced teas served in pint glasses. Refills are free but a pint of tea is a lot without a refill. The food came out quickly and first to arrive were the chicken wings that were very hot. Loved the slightly crispy coating and the dusting of salt and white pepper. Yep I'd order these again.
The gyoza were average, all kind of stuck together. Tasty enough but not that memorable. And our final small dish was the chicken karaage which like the gyoza was pleasant enough but no big impact.
The actual bowls of ramen were good. Stef and I both had the Signature Tonkotsu. Good balanced broth that was deep and flavoursome. Enjoyable bamboo shoots, pork and seaweed and a really good egg. It's not the biggest bowl but it is satisfying and the side dishes filled us up plus that pint of tea!
The wait staff are always busy clearing tables but there's lots of smiling and chit chat too so it's good that there's some personality to the place. They seem proud of the business so that's good to see.
We were really looking forward to our free ice cream but they either ran out or the machine broke so disappointingly we gave up our table and left. The queue had not died down in the time we were there, In fact it had grown so it's a busy place but it's good as unlike some of the smaller places, there are many more table so bigger chance of getting a table quicker.
