Our lack of organisation meant neither of us made a reservation so we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best! Luckily they could spare a table for an hour so seized the opportunity and got ordering pronto!
The caprese salad pictured was a side dish served alongside our plates of pasta. The red tomatoes were tasty but the mixed greeny red tomatoes were mushy and flavourless. The mozzarella was tasty but so small a portion.
We also had the tagliatelle carbonara. Thick ribbons of pasta with a meaty sauce that was salty and savoury. Not the traditional creamy, bacony carbonara I was expecting but it definitely had hints of that familiar flavour but also a lightness and refreshing bitterness about it from the added raddichio.
No time for dessert, no time for digestion! We were offered seats up at the bar to be fair but we were ready to take a walk outside instead.
